Science Through the Lens of Art

A few decades ago, Ann Row, a clinical psychologist said, “Nothing in science has any value to society if it’s not communicated.” These words have never been truer today. Science communication has long been limited to scientific circles through specialized journals which shielded the public from accessing vital knowledge. To help broaden scientific reach, many have taken it upon themselves to disseminate information to the public using a wide range of creative skills.

In this interactive event, we will highlight the works of Yeonsoo Sara Lee, BS, a medical student and illustrator, and Ambalika Khadria, PhD, a biochemist-turned-filmmaker.

Please join us to learn about how you can also use your creative skills to effectively communicate science to the public.
