DEI Foundations – The Journey Starts Here

Join Romaine Wright, MS, of Just Wright Consulting, LLC for this 2 hour interactive workshop.

After the social unrest in 2020, corporations and organizations around the world realized that their responsibility to protect their employees/members and customers from injustice and discrimination is just as significant as it was in the past. That responsibility begins with becoming educated about the influencing factors and social dynamics that pervade the lives of people identifying with marginalized groups every day. This interactive workshop offers a start for that journey through introspective exercises and engaging discussions that offer a new perspective on how we interact with others.

***Participants will complete independent work before and after the course as a measure for self-evaluation.*** Click here for the pre-workshop exercise/instructions.

Upon completion of the workshop participants will be able to:

  • Define “diversity”, “equity” and “inclusion”
  • Recognize unconscious bias, microaggressions and their negative impact
  • Explore opportunities for personal growth towards being more inclusive
  • Identify relevant strategies to apply in daily social interactions
