The AWIS Loyalty Circle recognizes individuals with over 40 years of membership in the AWIS community. Ellie’s remarks upon receiving this honor: “AWIS has been and is an important resource for me both professionally and personally. Early on, AWIS facilitated connections with Philadelphia area women scientists in several STEM fields, leading to the founding of AWIS-PHL. Chapter involvement has resulted in life long friendships and an appreciation of the upcoming cohort of local women scientists. I am also pleased to have seen the evolution of AWIS from primarily an advocacy organization to one that includes member resources (webinars, bridge grants, etc.).”
