New Publication by Akshata Almad

AWIS-PHL Outreach Chair, Akshata Almad, published a paper based on her postdoctoral research at Hopkins Medicine. The article shows the important role that astrocyte cx43 plays in mediating motor neuron toxicity in ALS. Cx43 hemichannels contribute to astrocyte-mediated toxicity insporadic and familial ALS.
